Registering a company in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) is a fast and remote process, usually completed within 5-7 business days. Only one director and one shareholder are required, with no residency or nationality restrictions, and no minimum capital. BVI companies enjoy 0% tax on income, capital gains, dividends, and inheritance, along with a high level of confidentiality for owners.

BVI companies must file an annual financial return with their registered agent, including a basic balance sheet and income statement, within nine months of the fiscal year-end. These returns remain confidential and are exempt for publicly listed or regulated entities. Companies conducting regulated activities must also provide annual economic substance reports. These reports, along with basic accounting records, are kept with the registered agent.
